Tyrone Patrick Chin

CHIN,  Tyrone P. –Passed away unexpectedly at the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday August 19, 2022 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Charmaine Tyssen. (nee Chen) Chin for over 45 years. Loving father of Kim Chin, Stephanie Chin, Kevin Chin and cherished grandfather “Gung gung” of V. Lark Chin-Douma and Jasper Douma. Eldest son of Avis "Bonnie" Chin (nee Lee) and late John Chin.
Dear brother of Roger Chin, Trudy-Ann (Chris) Harris, Richard (Fritzie) Chin, Melanie (Glen) Peffers, and Mary Chin.  Predeceased by his brother Raymond Chin. Tyrone will always be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Tyrone grew up in the small town of Moneague and finished high school in Springfield, New Jersey. Tyrone attended the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and graduated top of his class in Textile Design from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art. He would carry his creative spirit and love for art throughout his lifetime.
In 1977 he married the love of his life, Charmaine, and together they moved to Canada. For almost 30 years and together with his wife, Tyrone ran a Rust Check business in Scarborough at Markham and Finch.
Tyrone valued his family and friends above everything else. Tyrone loved to give a helping hand and always had multiple projects on the go. He will always be remembered for his calm, kind, curious and loving personality.

Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday August 27, 2022 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2:30 pm with a cremation to follow.
