John Dennis Barton

Barton, John Dennis “Barts” - Passed away peacefully at Sakura House in Woodstock, Ontario on November 6th, 2022 with his wonderful wife, Sandra “Sandy” Barton and his adopted sister, Cathy Fewster, by his side. He was born in Sudbury on November 27th, 1946. He said his biggest accomplishment in life was when he met Sandy and they later married, which has been for 52 wonderful years. Sandy was the love of his life!

John was the kindest, most generous and upbeat guy you would ever want to meet. He was always there for everyone.

John very much loved to golf and together with Sandy that is how they met all their wonderful friends over the years. Some of his few favourite lines were: “Lets have one more drink and all leave together” and “ Got room for pizza and a case of beer.”

John has left behind his brother-in-law, Will Hubbs, and his adopted sister Cathy Fewster, as well as the Riffel and Fewster families. Not to mention all his very close and special friends throughout his life.

Sandy would very much like to thank all of their special friends and family who have been there for both of them throughout their difficult times. Also special thanks to all his caregivers as well as the staff at Sakura House. You are all amazing!

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the VON sakura house, Woodstock, and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004).
