Howard Burton

BURTON, Howard – Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday November 28th in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Elsie M. E. (nee Wilson) Burton for 68 years. Loving father of Scott (Cathy) Burton, Brad Burton, and the late Michael Burton. Cherished grandfather of Daniel (Angela), Steven (Lindsay), Nicole (Shawn) and Brian (Angela) and great grandfather of Wyatt Howard and Sawyer. Predeceased by his sisters Doreen Hillsdon, Ruth Savich, Dorothy Arberry, Barbara Somers and brothers Cyril and Bill. Howard was a proud veteran serving with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) and was a 75-year member of the Beachville Legion 495. Howard worked many years as a long-distance truck driver and there was not a road or highway he did not know. Friends are invited to join the family at Old St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 723 Dundas St., Woodstock on Thursday December 1st from 12:00 – 1:00pm for visitation followed by the memorial service at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be in the Anglican Cemetery.
