Elizabeth Barzsa

BARZSA, Elizabeth Evelyn - On Saturday August 22, 2020, Elizabeth (Bessie) Barzsa Reg.N. (nee Baillie) passed away at Sakura House in her 80th year with her family by her side. Bessie trained as a registered nurse at the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax Nova Scotia, and worked for over 30 years at the Oxford Regional Center in many capacities and was always there to look after those who needed a hand.  She was the beloved wife of Steve Barzsa for 57 years, and loving mother to Kelly Barzsa (Scott Shipway) of Woodstock, as well a much-loved grandmother to Baillie Jenkins.  Bessie was cherished by her family and will be deeply missed by her sister Carolyn Dwyer (David) of Lyons Brook Nova Scotia, and her brother Hughie Baillie (Shelly Cochrane-Watson) of Tillsonburg, Ontario. She will also be greatly missed by her aunt Florence Sutherland, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Bessie was predeceased by her parents Catherine Baillie (Sutherland 1994), Alexander Baillie (1984) and her brother Ivan Baillie (2004). A private family interment will be held at the Presbyterian Cemetery.
