SMITH- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends at the Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday March 15, 2007. Winston D. Smith of Bower Hill Road Woodstock in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Ellen Smith (nee Kaden). Loved father of Debra Greene and her husband Jim of Burlington and Sandra Talbot and her close friend Jim Copeland of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of Jennifer and Meagan Greene of Burlington and Jasara and Justin Talbot of Woodstock. Dear brother of Donald Smith and his wife Phyllis of Woodstock and brother-in-law of Irene Dietrich and her husband Bob of Waterloo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Roy Smith and a sister Shirley Bishop. Win was a 33rd Degree Mason belonging to King Solomon's Lodge # 43 Woodstock, member of the Scottish Rite as well as a WW II veteran serving in the Tank Regiment (Kangaroos) and the Elgin Regiment. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) Tuesday 2:30-4:30 & 7-9 pm where the memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
