Winnifred "Winnie" Emily Wilson

WILSON, Winnifred “Winnie” (nee Root)- Passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Ingersoll, on Sunday, May 1st, 2022, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late J. David Wilson (2007). Loving mother of Nancy (Ted) Cripps, Lori (Tom) Bruce, and Joe Wilson, and mother-in-law of Glen Farrell. Cherished grandmother of David (Cathy), Steven (Joann), Kim, Matthew, Rebecca (Colin), Jason (Kelley), Brad (Sue) and great grandmother of Nathan, Alex, Nick, Zac, Charlie, Kayden, McKenna, and Larson. Dear sister-in-law to Margy Root and Katie Toohey-Wilford. Predeceased by her daughter Verna Farrell (2006), brothers Roy, Fred, Johnny, Ted, and Bert Root and by her sisters Marjorie Archer, Verna Baskerville, Dorothy Dunn, and Gladys Patton. Winnie will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Wednesday May 4, 2022, from 6 - 8pm and again on Thursday from 1 - 2 pm with the service in the chapel at 2:00 pm.
