Winnifred Jean Edwards

EDWARDS, Winnifred Jean (nee Pike) - Passed away peacefully on Sunday January 11th, 2015 with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late Carl Marvin Edwards (1995). Lovingly remembered by her children Stanley (Rita) Edwards of Cathcart, Janet Clark of Woodstock and Marlene (Howard) Boakes of Curries. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Irvin and Lucy (nee Baker) Pike, her sister Stella Howlett and brother Ralph Pike. Jean and Carl purchased their first farm in Oxford Centre, then moved to Curries where they raised their family. Jean was a longtime member of Curries United Church. In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Pleasantview Cemetery. If desired, contributions to the Pleasantview Cemetery or the Curries United Church Memorial Fund, and may be arranged through the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
