William "Bill" Ross Moyer

December 11, 1931 — May 12, 2023

William Ross Moyer, a man of great humor, warmth, and faith, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Woodstock on May 12, 2023, at the age of 91. Born in Woodstock on December 11, 1931, William, known affectionately to friends and family as "Bill," built a life of love and service that touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Donna, the couple's love story spanned more than six decades and was a testament to their shared dedication, respect, and adoration for one another. As a husband, William was a pillar of strength for his family, offering unwavering support and devotion to his wife and children. Much loved grandfather of Graham Willsie and Cavan Willsie (Kailyn).  Predeceased by his children, Shelly and Larry Moyer, and his sister Nora Moyer, William leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories for his family.

Throughout his career as a long-standing employee at Loblaws, William formed deep bonds with coworkers and the community, earning a reputation as a hard worker with a great sense of humor. His strong work ethic and commitment to his colleagues extended beyond the confines of the workplace, as he participated in numerous company events and gatherings. Colleagues and friends remember William as an inspiring example of dedication and loyalty, someone always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word.

At the heart of Bill's life was his unshakable faith. As a deeply committed Christian, he demonstrated and lived his belief in the power of service and charity to others. No matter the challenges, setbacks, or triumphs he experienced, Bill never wavered from his spiritual foundation, finding strength in the knowledge that his life's purpose and value were grounded in something greater. This faith was the source of infinite comfort and guidance for him and, by extension, his community of fellow believers.

Bill was a man of many passions and interests, most notably enjoying many winters in Florida with Donna. Throughout this time, the pair cultivated friendships with neighbors and fellow vacationers, a testament to their remarkable ability to forge deep connections with others regardless of location or circumstance. As sun-seekers, Bill and Donna were celebrated for their spirit of fun and adventure, their zest for life evident in every excursion and activity they undertook together.

The loss of William Ross Moyer leaves a void in the hearts of so many who knew him, but the vibrant memories and lasting influence of his humor, friendliness, and faith-filled life will forever resonate. As we celebrate the extraordinary life Bill lived, let us also honor his memory by emulating his values, always putting our community, friends, and family first while demonstrating warmth, kindness, and joy in every interaction we share. May we find solace in the knowledge that his spirit lives on within each of us as we carry his legacy forward.
