William Bell Zeldon, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at 95 years of age at Woodstock Hospital. Born on March 20, 1929, in Toronto, Ontario, William lived a full life, rich in family, friendships, and community involvement.
A proud retiree from Fisher Controls, William was deeply engaged in the local community. He was a longtime member of Craigown Golf Club, the Navy Club, and the Woodstock Curling Club. Through these affiliations, he formed lasting friendships that reflected his warm and spirited personality.
William is survived by his devoted spouse, Betty (nee Munro), and his loving children: David (Martha), Mike (Dawn), and Marianne (Mike Cook). He was the proud father of Kim, who predeceased him in 2019. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Matthew, Paul, Sara, Rebecca, Erin, Drew, Michelle, Murray, and Mackenzie—as well as his 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Also survived by sister-in-law Anne Daniels and his 6 nieces.
William's passion for life, commitment to family, and contributions to the community will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain a guiding light for those who knew and loved him.
