William (Bill) Wightman

WIGHTMAN - Peacefully with his family at his side, at the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. William "Bill" Robert Wightman of Woodstock in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Wightman (nee Rest) (2006). Dear father of the late Robert Wightman (2006) and his wife Ruth Ann Wightman of Tillsonburg and Carol Weiler of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Bob Wightman, Deb Masters and her husband Gary, Bill Wightman and his wife Sarah and Jennifer Shymanski and her husband Michael. Cherished great grandfather of eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter . Predeceased by his parents Robert and Lena Wightman and his brother Jack Wightman. Bill was employed with Ralston Purina in Woodstock as the Canadian Buyer for 43 years. Bill was respected and loved by all that knew him and was a role model and a great support to his family. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Saturday, October 24, 2009 after 10am where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11am. A private family interment will take place at Hillview Cemetery.
