William George Weir

WEIR, William "Bill" George - Passed away at LHSC, University Campus, on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 in his 77th year. Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Annebelle Weir of Thamesford, his son Stanley (Butch) and brother Gord and his wife Alice. Deeply missed by companion and best friend Jackey Goodwin and her family. Dear brother to Don Weir (Kathleen) and Marion Glover (the late David). Loving uncle to Patricia Weir, Sheila Chivers, Beverly Weir (Dan), Mark Weir, Teresa Weir, Robin Weir (Joanne) and Johnathon. Great uncle to Hannah Weir and Nicole Chivers. Bill was an avid baseball fan and loved everything hockey. Former Convenor for the Western Conference of the Greater Ontario Junior B Hockey League for 26 years, winner of the Golden Stick Award. Actively involved with the London Kings Sr. Hockey Team in London. Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St., W., Thamesford, ON (519-285-2427) where the funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 11:00am with Rev. Dave Snihur officiating. Interment in the Zion 7th Line Cemetery with reception to follow at the Thamesford Community Centre.
