William Vanwell

VanWell - At his residence on Sunday October 3, 2004. William "Bill" J. VanWell of Chieftain St., Woodstock in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Nellie J. VanWell (nee Hellegers). Dear father of Mary Barons and her husband David of Mossley, Gary and his wife Kim of Ingersoll, Wilma Bertrand and her husband Ralph of Eastwood and Tina Wilson and her husband Bill of Princeton. Loved grandfather of Laura, Emily, Brent and Diane Barons, Jennifer and Jason VanWell, Wray, Amanda and Aubrey Bertrand and James, Cindy and Tyler Wilson. Also survived by one brother and one sister in Holland. Predeceased by one brother, 3 sisters, daughter Rita Vanwell (1992) and grandson Mike Fruin (Wilson) (1999). Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the South Gate Seniors Centre, Woodstock. He was employed for 29 years with the County of Oxford and enjoyed camping with his friends at Springwater Conservation Area. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 131 Thames St. N., Ingersoll on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Fr. Mitch Kominski officiating. Interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Ingersoll. Contributions to the Community Care Access Centre or the Woodstock General Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated.
