STEVENSON - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday February 29, 2008. William "Bill" John Stevenson of RR# 6, Woodstock in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Pearson) Stevenson for over 57 years. Dear father of John Stevenson (Susan Richards) of Woodstock, Doug Stevenson and his wife Irene of Victoria, Newfoundland and Susan Sellars and her husband Lloyd of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Sherri Stevenson, William Stevenson, Ryan Stevenson and great grandfather of Hailey and Hayden. Dear brother of Ruby Albrough (Eddy) of Brighton and Pat Wright of Woodstock. Predeceased by his sisters Jean, Vera, and Helen. Bill had been a longtime member of the Hebron United Church, was an active member of the Ingersoll Seniors Activity Centre and was employed at Fisher Controls for over 29 ½ years were his friends and co-workers knew him as "Chicken Bill". Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday March 3, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and again on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Cremation will follow. A private interment will take place in the Innerkip Cemetery later in the spring.
