MYERS - At Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday February 5, 2005. William (Bill) J. Myers of Durham Cres. Woodstock in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Violet L. Myers (nee Oldford). Dear father of Herb and his wife Wanda, Fred and his wife Audrey, Kenneth and his wife Brenda, Sam and his wife Toni and John and his wife Brenda . Loved grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by son-in-law Louis Stefan. Dear brother of Cecil Myers and his wife Beatrice, Margaret Halliday and her husband Allie, Helen Klan. Dear brother-in-law of Pauline Seymour and her husband Phil, Lois Oldford, and Lee Mroz. Predeceased by his daughter Deborah Stefan, parents, William and Anna Myers, sisters Kathleen, Edith, Ruth, and brother-in-law Thomas and Jim Oldford. William served in WWII in the Army Medical Corp. and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. John VanVliet officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. A Royal Canadian Legion service under auspices of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 6:30 pm.
