William Dan "Bill" Hampson

HAMPSON, William D. - Surrounded by his loving family at the VON Sakura House, on Saturday June 28, 2014. William "Bill" Dan Hampson in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Betty Lorraine Hampson (nee Miller). Cherished father of Jennifer (Mike) Van Boekel, Mary (Matthew) Tubbe and Paul (Mary Sue Gilmore) Hampson. Loved grandfather of Jacob, Gregory and Hannah; Grace, Ava and Luke; Tommy and Maci. Dear son of Dorothy Greenly and the late William Hampson (1975). Bill will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Marg (George) Alyea and Joe (Susan) Hampson as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son William "Tom" Hampson (1993). Bill was a fourth generation dairy farmer in Oxford Centre, Past President and Honourary Life Member of Ayrshire Canada, as well as a longtime member of the Oxford Centre Optimist Club. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday July 2, 2014 from 1-4pm & 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday July 3, 2014 at 1:30pm, with The Rev'd Canon Marian Haggerty officiating. Interment in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Oxford Centre.
