William Ross Hammond

Hammond William Ross Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday June 19, 2012. William Ross Hammond of London in his 80th Year. Steadfast in his love and concern for his family, Bill was a dedicated and loving husband of Jean McKellar for 55 years, the cherished father of Vicki, Becki (deceased) and Jacki, and an extremely proud poppa of Liam and Mason, who adored him. Raised on a farm in West Zorra Twp., Bill was the son of Elsie Innes and Ross Hammond and the brother of Helen (Verne) Barnim. He farmed until 1965, when he began employment at Wolverine Tube in London and worked there for 33 years. A private family service will be held at the Harland B. Betzner funeral Home, Thamesford, with a public celebration of Bill's life to be held at a later date, the time and place to be announced.
