William L. "Bill" Gardner

Bill’s family announces his peaceful passing at the age of 68, surrounded by love, on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Tillsonburg Hospital after a brief illness. He was welcomed home by his parents, Ewart and Beulah Gardner who both predeceased him. Bill is survived by his siblings, Ken Gardner, Judy Mayo (Larry), Holly Burgess (Tom) and Shelley Hoffman. He was a proud uncle and great-uncle of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his family at Community Living Tillsonburg, whose care, support and genuine friendship made it possible for Bill to live his best life. He will always be remembered for his love of Star Trek and his undying support for the Blue Jays. He enjoyed good food, a cold beer and the occasional trip to the casino, but his family was most important, and they meant the world to Bill.

Friends and family will gather for visitation at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 1-2pm. A funeral service for Bill will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Quenton Little officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the Beaty Room. Interment will take place in the spring, when Bill will be laid to rest at St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations are suggested to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
