In Loving Memory of William "Bill" Conn.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Conn on January 25th, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Coatbridge, Scotland on November 26th, 1937, Bill immigrated to Canada in 1960 with his wife Elizabeth (Betty), who predeceased him in 2002. Predeceased by his daughter Brenda, grandson Robbie, and most recently his long-time companion Marg Bonney.

Bill leaves behind his children, Brian (Pam), Linda (Wally), Ian (Jenn), and son-in-law Rob (Maria). Loving grandfather to Brandon (Alex), Jared (Julie), Alex (Nathan), Luke (Amy), Ella, Grant, Jordan, Jasmyn, Jaxon, Ann (Taoufik), and Lynne. Great grandfather to Emmett, Austin, Carmen, Kelly, Scott, and Megan, and great-great grandfather to Jamie and Jack. Bill’s love for his family was limitless.

Bill was a long-time employee of Budd Canada before retiring in 2001. He was also affectionately known as the “corn man” at the Thames River Melon fruit stand located at the Toys R Us Plaza in Kitchener.

He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and deep love for his family. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A special thank you to all the health care providers that assisted Bill during this time. A private family visitation is planned with a Celebration of Bill’s life to follow on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm at the Ingersoll Golf Club, 51 Holcroft St W, Ingersoll, ON N5C 3K1. In memory of Bill, memorial contributions to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
