William Roy "Bill" Carter

CARTER - At Woodstock General Hospital on Friday September 7, 2007. William "Bill" Roy Carter of Woodstock in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Marion Ruth (nee Love) Carter (2006). Dear father of Deb Gurney and her husband Glen and grandfather of Bradley Gurney all of Princeton. Loved brother of Jean Hassall of Port Stanley and Rose McDonald of London. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Helen Haney, Ruby Hilliker and Margaret Davis and by his brothers Joseph and Harry Carter. Bill was a past employ of the O.R.C., Woodlawn Beverages, Alcan Homes and served with the R.C.R. during WW II. A funeral service to celebrate Bill's life was held at the Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday September 9, 2007 at 2:30 pm with Rev. David Snihur the officiant.
