William John "Bill" Buckridge

BUCKRIDGE, William John - passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in his 94th year. Devoted husband of Marion Bernice Buckridge for 67 years. Loving father to his son Colin Buckridge. Proud grandfather of Holly, Jasmine, in Hamilton Ontario, Denni, and Michelle in Woodstock. Proud great-grandfather of 7 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Lovingly remembered by nephew Gerald Wormald. He served in the Canadian military( The Elgin Regt.) tank core in the Second World War in Europe. After the war he returned to Canada and served in the Canadian Air Force for many years then retired. He loved fishing, hunting, being in nature and art. He was a 50 year member of the Canadian Legion, and long time member of the Mason's. He was a remarkable man with a big heart, he is much loved and will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place.
