William George "Bill" Box

BOX - After a short battle with cancer, William George Box on Thursday January 25, 2007. Husband and best friend of 55 years to Dorothy. Dear father of Sharon & Dave Durston and Gerald Box & Elyse Martel all of London, and Carolyn and Tim Kaufman of Woodstock. Also sadly missed by 6 granddaughters; Diane and Melanie Cole, Corinne & Evelyne Box and Emma and Heather Vondervoort. Brother to Mary & Gerald Garton (Lakefield). Brother-in-law to Jeanette Box (Woodstock), Fran Smith (London), Ron and Amy Poste and David and Ruth Poste (Woodstock), Florence and Willis Ball (Lakeside), Larry and Helen Poste (Parksville, B.C.), Mary Kernohan (London), Margaret and Ron Gregor (Princeton), Marie Poste (Bala), Muriel Poste (Collingwood), Edda Poste (South Porcupine) and Dennis Hemsworth (Eastwood). Predeceased by brothers Jack and Charlie, brother-in-law Bob Kernohan, Bev, Jack, Ken and Jim Poste and sister-in-law Betty Hemsworth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday January 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at St. David's United Church, Woodstock on Sunday at 3:00 pm with Rev. John Furry officiating. Cremation has taken place.
