William "Bill" H. Arnold

ARNOLD, Bill - Passed away at his residence on Saturday September 27, 2014. William "Bill" H. Arnold of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Donohoe) Arnold (1986). Loving father of Mary Anne and her husband Ken Bewley. Proud grandfather of Adam Bewley. Born January 1, 1923 in the town of Elmira to Edward and Florence, he was the middle of seven children, Caye (2014), Peggy, Mary, Eleanor (2009), John (2011) and Florence (2013) and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Bill spent his working career in accounting with Silverwood Dairies in Kitchener, Lucknow, Chatham, Sarnia and St. Thomas and then with St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener. Upon retirement, Bill graduated from Wilfred Laurier University where he pursued his interest in art. Bill spent many hours of his retirement painting in his basement studio as well as travelling and studying art. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday October 1, 2014 from 10:15 am until 11:00 am where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place in the sanctuary on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Fr. Richard Dales officiating. A private interment in St. Theresa's Cemetery, Elmira. If desired, memorial contributions to Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock or the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Building Fund would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
