William Joseph "Bill" Aarts

AARTS, William Joseph "Bill" - of Lakeside, died suddenly at London Health Sciences - University Campus, on August 5, 2014, in his 68th year. He was the much loved husband of Heather Aarts (nee Dickson), devoted father to Michelle and Rob, Jeff and Carla, Jack and Laura, Jim and Shannon, Tony and Erin, and Dan. Extraordinary Poppa to 13 grandkids - 8 "Sunshines" and 5 "Supermen": Connor, Aidan, Owen, Madison, Jack, Isabel, Alaina, Adele, Emily, Sylvia, Natalie, Athena and Sam. Dear brother to Ben (Wilma), Harriett Sanders (Bert), John (Rika), Joe (Annie), Maryann Denys (Dan), Jacqueline Minten (Pete), Katherine Pardy (Dennis), Monique VanLeishout (Harry), Frank (Maryann), Matt (Ann), Jacques (Colleen), and Barb Hendricksen (John). Brother-in-law to Adrianne Mann, Myrna Howard, and Linda Evans (Bill). Uncle and great uncle to many. Beloved friend to Jim and Marion Vollmershausen and family. Predeceased by his parents John and Maria (nee Woestenberg). A celebration of Bill's life will be held as an open house on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 3-7pm at the Pyramid Recreation Centre (St. Marys Arena) 317 James St. South, St. Marys. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home, 519-285-2427. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Operation Sharing or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
