Willem Hendrik Verouden

VEROUDEN - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday April 2, 2008. Willem Hendrik Verouden of Woodstock in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Gertruda M. (Nee Scheepers) Verouden for over 56 years. Dear father of Carl Verouden and his friend Jessica of Woodstock, Jane Berardini and her husband Ben of London and Bill Verouden and his wife Misty of High Point, North Carolina. Loved grandfather of Andrea Chessell and her husband Jarret, Leah and Caitlin Verouden, Adriana and Benjamin Berardini, Andrew, Alex, Abby and Anna Verouden. Predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Johanna (nee van der Velden) Verouden. William was an active contributor to the Innerkip Seniors Drop-in Centre and gave 22 years of service at the Innerkip Seniors Apartments Inc. He was also a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish (St. Rita's Catholic Church). Friends are welcome to join with the family at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday April 4, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A mass of the resurrection will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 904 Dundas St., Woodstock on Saturday at 10:30 am. Interment in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Building Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
