Wilhelmina Anna Theresa Halls

HALLS, Wilhelmina Anna Theresa (nee Morlog) - Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, January 26, 2018 in her 91st year. She joined her soulmate of 72 years, Robert Halls who left her side on December 5, 2017. After his passing she tried to stay strong for her family, but she just didn't know how to live without him, and they are once again holding hands. Loving mother of Kerry (Sheila) Halls and Karen (Drew) Reid. Cherished Nana to Bryan, Crystal, Marci, Matthew and Tasha. Loving Great Nana to Gage and Lennon. Predeceased by her parents, and brothers John and Corrie Morlog. She will be remembered by her nephews Robert (Maureen) Morlog, Michael, James and John Halls and her niece Kim Halls. Born October 23, 1927 in Holland, her family moved to England when she was 7 years old. After finishing school she became a book keeper at a nearby bank and this profession would always play an important role for her entire life. In 1945 during World War 2, she met a young handsome soldier at the roller rink who was smitten with her from the moment they met. On September 1, 1945 she became his young bride, and a year later she landed in Woodstock. For the next 71 years, they raised a family and created many cherished memories. Her bookkeeping skills helped them buy a home and provide for their family and being Dutch she could make a penny go a long way. Her passing has ended a love story we only read about, but the happy ending is that our parents are once again together, where their love story continues in heaven. Friends and family are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.
