SCHAEFER - At Woodstock General Hospital on Monday, July 26, 2010, Walter Karl Schaefer of Woodstock in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Ursula Schaefer (nee Doering). Dear father of John Schaefer of Woodstock, Peter Schaefer (Betsy) of London, and Cathy Shepard (Bill) of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Amanda, Melissa, Lucas, Alisha, Stephanie, and Kimberly and great grandfather of Nathaniel. Dear brother of Eric Schaefer. Loved uncle of Michael, Paul, and Elizabeth. Predeceased by his brother Helmut Schaefer. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004), on Thursday, July 29, 2010 after 10:00 am where the funeral liturgy will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am with Father Richard Dales officiating.
