Walter David Langille

August 15, 1933 — January 27, 2022

LANGILLE, Walter - It is with heavy hearts the family of Walter David Langille announces his peaceful passing on January 27th, at Woodingford Lodge Nursing Home with his wife and family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Alice, 6 children, he would say 11; Dave (Carol Carver), Heather Werby (Dan), Marilyn Denby (Don) Carol Holman (Derek), Julie Hawken (Rob: predeceased 2020, and Michael, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many loving brothers and sisters. He was born in 1933 and raised in a family with 13 brothers and sisters on the Mountain Road, River John, Nova Scotia, moved to Ontario in the mid 1950’s and worked and raised his family with his wife until returning to Nova Scotia in the early nineties to spend 19 years on the old family farm. They returned to Woodstock to spend their golden years surrounded by their family in the mid 2000’s, puttering around the house, helping out neighbours and sitting on the porch. Walter was an avid reader, a lover of jellybeans, cheezies and the Maple Leafs. We are comforted knowing he is at peace, with a good book, a better ballgame and a can of Copenhagen. We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mapleville for the excellent care received during his time at Woodingford. Walter’s wishes were to have a private family service and he will be buried in the place he loved the most on the Mountain Road at a later date.
