BEDNAREK - At his home on Thursday March 16, 2006. Wladyslaw "Walter" Bednarek of Woodstock in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Kathleen Bednarek (nee Tomlinson) for over 58 years. Loved father of Sandra (Tom) Koslonen, Patricia (Hassib) Zabian and Paul Bednarek. Dear grandfather of Kimberley (Jorge) Prado, Michelle (Russ) Ansell, Nasser Zabian, Elysia Bednarek, Joshua Bednarek and great grandfather of Abigail and Kaitlynn Ansell and Javier Prado. Predeceased by his parents Powell and Maria Bednarek, his brothers William (Natalie) Bednarek, Eugene (Verna) Bednarek and by his sister Angela Bednarek. Walter was a veteran of WWII serving with the Polish Army and was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock and worked at Standard Tube for over 18 years. Friends were received at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Friday from 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 10:30 am.
