SMITH, W. Ross - Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Sakura House on Saturday October 15th, 2011. William Ross Smith of Woodstock in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Iva L. (nee Zehr) Smith for over 47 years. Dear father of Sherri Johns and her husband David of Ayr and Dwayne Smith and his wife Belinda of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Greg, Trevor, Hunter and Teagan. Dear brother of Verne Smith and his wife Joan of Monkton and survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and his many nieces and nephews. Ross was a member of Innerkip Presbyterian Church for over 30 years where he had served as an a Elder. He was also known for his chinchilla farming in the Innerkip area and finally in his retirement Ross became a skilled wood carver. Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday October 19, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Innerkip Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Chris Little officiating. Interment to follow in the Innerkip Cemetery.
