W. Harvey Brooks

BROOKS- At Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday January 21st, 2004, W. Harvey Brooks of Rivercrest Dr. in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Scott). Harvey will be sadly missed by his daughter Denise and her partner Cait of Waterloo, his brothers Edward and his wife Beatrice, and Danny both of Nova Scotia, and by his greyhounds Greg and Laura. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Joseph. Harvey was longtime employee at Standard Tube, an avid bowler, and a coach for Woodstock minor baseball and bowling. He served his country over seas and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, Woodstock and Korean War Veteran Unit #2, Stratford. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Friday from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm where the memorial service will be held from the chapel on Saturday at 1:30 with Rev. Kirby Constable officiating. Interment later in Chesterfield Cemetery. Contributions to the charity of one's choice.
