BERST, W. Elaine - After a courageous battle at the Sakura House Hospice, on Saturday January 23rd, 2016. Wilma "Elaine" Berst (nee Butler) of Woodstock passed away in her 78th year. Beloved wife and best friend for 54 years to John Ward Berst. Cherished mother of Heather (Tony) Zwicewicz, Jennifer (Shaun) Hatchell and Julie (John) Ellery. Adored grandmother of John, Alicia and Nicolas; Lindsay, Aaron, Amanda and Nathen; Jordan, Jack and Jenna. Special great grandmother of Madison, Logan, Avery, Blair and Charlotte. Dear sister of Bob (Dianne) Butler. Elaine was a dedicated elementary school teacher who always endeavoured to treat each child as an individual, and plan activities according to their needs. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 59 Riddell Street, Woodstock, on Wednesday January 27th, 2016 for a time of visitation from 1-2pm. A memorial service to honour Elaine's life will be held in the sanctuary at 2pm.
