Violet Ruth (Karn) Nutt

June 3, 1937 — July 5, 2005

NUTT - After a year long courageous battle with cancer, Violet "Vi" Ruth Nutt (nee Karn) of Warwick St., Woodstock in her 69th year, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 5, 2005 with her family at her side. Beloved mother of Barry and his wife Linda of Woodstock, Brad and his wife Kim of Woodstock, Brian and his wife Shirley of Ingersoll and Byrle and his wife Cheryl of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Darryl, Duane, Derek, Daniel, Mackenzie, Michael, Jamie and Christopher and great-grandmother of Britney. Dear sister of Louise Tuffnail (Jack), Robert "Bob" Karn (Betty), Jim Karn (Marilyn), Bill Sexsmith (Patti) and Mary Jane Glaser (Peter). Vi had been a longtime member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association and enjoyed playing cards and dancing at area functions. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Thursday July 7, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Dave Stephens officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
