MILLER- It is with deep regret and sincere gratitude, for a life well lived and full of amazing, unending love and devotion we the family of Violet May (Gofton) (Ingold) Miller announce her passing peacefully with her family by her side, at her residence on Friday November 5th, 2004. She was received into the open loving arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and reunited with her late husbands and three precious children. Cherished and dearly loved mother of Lorraine (Stanley) Gillett and Doreen Courts and her husband Norman of Woodstock. Dear mother-in-law of Ivy (LeeRoy) Ingold of Woodstock and Gordon (Esther) Rodwell of Oxford Centre. Loving grandmother of Stephen Gillett and his wife Deb, Larry Rodwell and his wife Shirley, Kim Lennox and her husband Scott of Woodstock, Susan Rodwell and Bill, Scott Gillett and his wife Karen of Burlington, Heather Gillett-Haggett and her husband Gary of Cambridge, Carolyn Ebel and her husband Jeffery, and Bradley Ingold and his wife Tracey of Woodstock. Loving great grandmother of Christopher Lennox and Kate, Justin Lennox, Brittany Partlo, Krysten Rodwell, Brandon and Shane Rodwell, Dylan Lennox, Cassandra and Colton Ebel, Easton and Clayton Ingold of Woodstock. Loving great-great grandmother of Kaylin Lennox of Woodstock. Dear sister of Dorothy (Donald) Coldham. Sister-in-law of Eileen (Theodore) Gofton of London. Predeceased by her parents Maggie (Ellis) Gofton (1980) and Oliver Gofton (1973), her husband Russell Ingold (1962) and Kenneth Miller (1981), her sons Samuel (Sammy) Ingold (1954) and LeeRoy Ingold (2003) and her daughter Esther (Ingold) Rodwell (Gordon) 2003, her brothers Theodore (Alex) Gofton (1989), Melville (George) Gofton (2003) and his wife Florence (2003) and Elmer Gofton (1976) and his wife Catherine (1993). Brothers-in-law Lorne Ellis (1976) and his wife Ruth (Ingold) (1993), Donald (Dorothy Gofton) Coldham (1999), sisters-in-law Mabel (Theodore) Gofton (1995). Son-in-law Stanley (Lorraine) Gillett (2000). Violet was born August 3rd, 1919 near Innerkip, the eldest daughter and fourth child of Oliver and Maggie (Ellis) Gofton. She spent many happy hours at the home of her grandparents Jonathon Ellis and Sara (Bond) near Washington with her cousins. After marrying Russell Ingold, they resided in Delhi for a time then moved to Woodstock when her husband joined the Armed Forces. She later married Kenneth Miller and they made their home in Woodstock. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Woodstock until ill health developed. She fought a valiant struggle with Colon and Liver cancer. To celebrate her long and caring life and her reunion with her husbands and three precious children and all the others including her dogs which she adored Cuddles, Brandy, and Cindy which she greatly missed. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dave Stephens officiating. Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery. Contributions to the First Baptist Church or a charity of one's own choice would be appreciated.
