BECKETT - Born Sept. 21, 1923 passed away at the Woodstock General Hospital on Monday July 2, 2007. Violet Mae (nee Webber) Beckett of Park Place Retirement Home, Woodstock in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd N. Beckett (1992) of 49 years. Dear mother of Lois Case and her husband Ronald of Quinte West and Bev Beckett and his wife Irene of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Rodney (Ozelle) Case, Melody (Sean) Lashmar, Bill Beckett, Jason (Cathy) Beckett, Kevin Craig, Shannon (Darren) Campbell and great grandmother of Andrew and Elizabeth Case, Marina Lashmar, Gregory and Christina Beckett and Nicholas Campbell. Dear sister of Ruby Debuck of St. Thomas, Mary Zavitz of Aylmer, Rose Sherk of Valleyview, Alberta and sister-in-law of Jean Webber and Annie Webber. Also survived by special niece and nephew Elaine and Eric Wiederhoft of Woodstock and many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Carol Mae Craig (1999), son-in-law W. Rand Craig (2006), her parents Harry and Nellie Webber of Salford, brothers Fred Palmer, Frank Palmer, Ray Palmer, Tom Palmer, Murray Webber, George Webber, Theo Webber, Leo Webber, Reg Webber and by her sister Mabel Palmer. Violet had been a longtime and dedicated member of Central United Church and the Central United Church U.C.W. A memorial service to celebrate Violet's life will take place at Central United Church, Riddell St., Woodstock on Thursday at 11:00 am with memorial visitation at the church 1 hour prior. Interment in the Norwich Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
