Matheson - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday November 26, 2006. Verna V. Matheson (nee Milton) of Caressant Care, Woodstock and formerly of James St., Woodstock and RR#1 Innerkip in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilis C. Matheson (1987). Dear mother of Larry Matheson and his wife Joanne of Picton and Anne Matheson of Brampton. Loved grandmother of Shana (Rob) Cassista, Chad and great grandmother of Daniel and Emily Cassista. Loved sister-in-law of Norene Currah and her husband Tom of Innerkip and survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Olive Shoemaker, Stella Redman, Irma Crumback and by her brothers Charlie Milton, Sam Milton, Floyd Milton and Lorne Milton. Verna was a life long member of the Innerkip Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Ketchen officiating. A private family interment will take place in the Innerkip Cemetery.
