FLOOD, Vera Christena - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2011. Vera C. (nee Hart) Flood of Woodstock in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Robert P. Flood (1997). Dear mother of Irene Garner and her husband Al, Sharon Riddle and her husband Clark all of Woodstock, Bill and his wife Janet of Ingersoll, Ralph and his wife Barbara of RR# 3, Woodstock, Joyce Smith of Sebringville, Ken and his wife Joanne of Woodstock and Paul (John Wegman) of London. Loved grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dear sister of Maurice Hart and his wife Ilene of Alberta, Mel Hart and his wife Helen of Ripley, Agnes Lucarz of Saskatchewan, Lloyd Hart and his wife Beulah of Waterloo and sister-in-law of Dorothy Flood of Florida. Predeceased by her son-in-law Maurice Smith (2010), sister Doreen Bradbury and brother Leslie Hart (Marguerite). Vera was an avid card player. Taking in a game of Euchre with family and friends was her favourite pasttime. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 7 - 9 pm, and on Wednesday from 10 - 11 am, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Judy Campbell officiating. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
