KENNEDY - At the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga on Saturday June 30, 2007. Velma May (nee Morrison) Kennedy of Mississauga in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Howard W. Kennedy (1978). Dear mother of Betty Ann Cullen and her husband Peter of Mississauga, John Kennedy and his wife Donna of Calgary and Jim Kennedy and his wife Marie of Rockwood. Loved grandmother of Jodi (Dan), Erin (Greg), Iain, Scott (Sophie), Murray (Farrah), Kevin, Laura (Tony), Heather and great grandmother of Lyndsay, Weston, Brooke, Fraser and Charlotte. Dear sister of Clive Morrison and his wife Eileen of Woodstock. Predeceased by her brother Hilton and by her sisters Hazel King and Ruby Killing. Velma was a dedicated member of the United Church of Canada, a former recipient of the "Citizen of the Year" in Mississauga, was awarded the "Provincial Volunteer Award", a volunteer driver for the Red Cross Society for over 25 years and had volunteered her time at the Trillium Health Centre and Tyndall Nursing Home both in Mississauga for many years. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday July 5, 2007 after 12:30 pm where the funeral service to celebrate Velma's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 2:00 pm with Rev.
