SIKMA, Tom - On Wednesday March 1, 2006 at the age of 68, Tom Sikma entered into the arms of his Lord and Saviour. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Sikma, dear father of Ann and Bud VanderStoel (Elli, Katie, Danielle, Sarah, Jamie) of Mt. Angel, Oregon; Irene and Clarence VanderDeen (Beth, Jeff, Arlene, Carl, Rachel) of Strathroy; Joan and Chuck Jerome (Thomas, Evan Sikma, Zachary, Rachel, Sam Jerome) of Mt. Hope; Glen and Marsha Sikma (Justin, Nathan) of Norwich; Mark and Rachel Sikma of Fonthill. Dear brother of Peter and Rose Feddema, Peter and Jane Sikma, Rose and Ed Rusticus, Sonya and Klaas Reitsma, Edna and Sjerp VanderMeer, John and Margie Sikma, Betty and Bill Flikkema, predeceased by a sister Nell Feddema (1984) and a brother Pier Sikma (1988). Dear brother-in-law of Andy and Hennie Strikwerda, Jean and Nick VanderKwaak, Evelyn VanderMeer, Richard and Sandy Strikwerda, Hans and Ida Strikwerda, Phil and Bonnie Strikwerda, Fred and Edel Strikwerda. Predeceased by a brother-in-law Sieds VanderMeer (1995). Tom treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, he diligently worked on his dairy farm and was a dedicated member of the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church and the John Knox Christian School of Woodstock. The family will receive friends at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 577 Norwich Ave., Woodstock on Saturday March 4, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where a celebration of Tom's life will take place on Monday March 6, 2006 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Dirk Miedema officiating.
