Timothy “Tim” Richard Nicholls - Passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, at the age of 67 in St. Thomas, Ontario.
Tim's early years in London were filled with the sounds of music, a passion that he carried throughout his life. He was a beacon of knowledge and inspiration to his students at Huron Park Secondary School, where he taught music for over three decades.
Beyond the classroom, Tim's musical talents shone brightly. He was a master of many instruments, with a particular fondness for the drums. He played with the PrimeTime Big Band in London, and his leadership as a conductor for several musical groups inspired many to pursue their own musical journeys.
He is survived by his children, Julian (Jennifer), Benjamin, and Samantha. Though his late wife Ann passed away in 2020, he is fondly remembered by her family, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Richard and Mary Nicholls, and his brother Arthur. His absence will be deeply felt, but the music he created and the wisdom he imparted will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew him. His passion for music was infectious, and he leaves behind a community of musicians and music lovers who were fortunate to have been part of his audience.
A celebration of life honouring Tim’s memory will be held on Saturday September 21 from 1pm to 4pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society to support The Music Project.
