SPRINGSTEAD Carl - Peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Monday December 3rd, 2018, Thomas Carl Springstead of Woodstock in his 89th year. Beloved husband for over 64 years of the late Margaret Lillian Springstead (nee Pember). Carl is survived by his children Danny, Cathy (Bert) Harkes, Tim (Bonnie), Colleen (Werner) Braun, Mike (Donna), Dean (Colette), Marty, Ken (Kelli), and Terry. Cherished grandfather of 18, and great-grandfather of 21. Also survived by his sister Patsy Salisbury, sisters-in-law Bev, Yvonne and Sandra Pember, brothers-in-law Keith Armstrong, Steve Raymer, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Nancy, son-in-law Robert, grandsons Timothy, and Matthew, parents Carl and Kathleen (O'Connor), sisters Noreen and Lois. Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Saturday December 8th, 2018 from 2:00 pm - - 3:00 pm., followed by a funeral liturgy in the chapel at 3:00 pm, with ­Deacon Bernie McCartney officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated, and may be arranged through the funeral home.
