Thomas Henry Rendle After a full and happy life, Thomas Henry Rendle, formerly of Thamesford, passed away at Kensington Village, London on, August 26, 2011, in his 96th year. Beloved husband for 72 years of the late Elsie May Rendle (Norman) (July 30, 2011). Dearly loved father and father- in- law of Brenda and Terry Fieldhouse of London. Devoted and proud grandfather of Ty (Kathy) and Trent (Carrie) Fieldhouse and special great grandfather to Paighton, Ryan, Reece, Brayden and Teagan. Predeceased by his parents Sydney and Maud Rendle and brothers Jack, Bob, George and his sister Frances. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Lorraine (London), Ruby (Brantford) and June (Toronto). Admired by several nieces and nephews. Tom was a proud charter member of the Brantford Figure Skating Club and continued skating until the age of 85. Before retirement Tom and Elsie owned and operated a convenience store in Wasaga Beach and later a gas distribution business in Thamesford. His compassion, kindness and humour are his legacy. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Harland Betzner Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street Thamesford on Thursday September 1, 2011 during the hour preceding the funeral service which will follow at 11 am. Rev. David Carrothers officiating. Interment of cremated remains at Zion 7th line cemetery, Thames Centre. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the CNIB would be appreciated.
