Thomas Henry Currah

CURRAH, Thomas Henry - In his 99th year, passed away at Woodstock Hospital on January 19th, 2018, with family by his side. Predeceased by his wife Norene (2007) and son Jeffrey (2009). Survived by his son Brian (Brenda) and daughter Marianne (John), 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and their partners. Tom took over the operation of the mill in Innerkip at the age of 16 when his father passed away. Currah Feed operated until 1974 when the family sold the mill to New Life Mills. Tom was a long time active member of the Innerkip Presbyterian Church and 70 plus years as a member of the Oak Branch Masonic Lodge in Innerkip. The last nine years, while living at Oxford Gardens Retirement Village, he enjoyed the friendships that developed, the compassionate caring of the staff and the special times at the euchre table. Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Sunday January 28th , from 1:30 -3pm at the Innerkip Presbyterian Church, 64 Blandford St., Innerkip. The funeral service will then begin at 3pm in the Sanctuary. If desired, memorial contributions to Sakura House would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004).
