COWAN - At the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital on Sunday September 23, 2007. Thomas "Tom" Cowan of Ingersoll in his 74th year. Beloved best friend and partner of Patricia Richards. Dear father of Gary Cowan of Ingersoll and of step father Brad White (Tracey), Myra Richards (Angelo), Trevor Richards all of Woodstock, Bill Richards of Georgia and Jim Richards (Jody) of Windsor. Loved grandfather of several grandchildren. Dear brother of May Vout of Burlington, Allison Irwin and her husband Bob, Bill Cowan and his wife Diana all of Niagara Falls and Gilbert Cowan and his wife Sandy of Stoney Creek. Predeceased by his daughters Bonnie Joyce Cowan, Barbara Jean LaBlanc and by his wife Arlene (nee McKay) (1990). Tom served with the R.C.N. as a diver for over 15 years, and had been a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday September 25, 2007 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Harry Hadden officiating. Interment in the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery following cremation. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Legion Poppy fund would be appreciated.
