She will especially be remembered by Jack Tonasket, her special nephew and buddy who had amazing adventures with her.

Tara is remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends she made on her adventures in life.

Tara is predeceased by her father Kenneth Bowie (2010). He was her best friend in life, and she kept it true to him till the moment she passed that she would live life for both of them.

Tara was a free spirited person who loved adventure and the outdoors. She always loved small town living, growing up in Beachville and Innerkip.

Tara enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Wiarton. and went to North Bay to start her adventure of school to become a reporter.

She worked at the North Bay Nugget, Owen Sound Sun Times, Norwich Gazette, Woodstock Sentinel Review, Keremeos Review and the Princeton Spotlight.

Tara lived in Norwich Ontario and then one day packed it in and travelled across Canada to BC. where she made a new life and adventure for herself. She loved the fresh air, the quiet and the view of the mountains - Tara would always say it was a different way of life out there.

Tara’s next big adventure was finding herself and living life to the fullest. Tara would not like us to cry over her. She would want us to start a new adventure without her and live life to the fullest with stopping and taking time to actually enjoy it.

This year was Tara’s best year.

Tara you are free to spread your wings and fly high. Today raise your glass to Tara and share a memory. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Algonquin Public School Nutrition Program in memory of Tara would be appreciated and may be arranged through Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, ON (519-539-0004).
