CORBETT, Stanley John

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stan Corbett on December 5th, 2022, at the age of 84.  Stan was born on October 22nd, 1938, on Bell Island, Newfoundland.  He was the son of the late Edward Corbett and Sade Corbett (Johnson).  Beloved husband of Olga Corbett (Derkachenko) for 62 years.

He is survived by his wife Olga and their children, Nadine Blackmore, Steve Corbett (Lisa), Tina Cook (Chris), and Rob Corbett, and his grand-children Edward Blackmore (Laura), Allie Cook (Grant), Tabitha Cook (Brennan), and Shane Cook (Hope), as well as his great-grandchildren.

Stan is also survived by his brothers Burney (Linda) and Adrian, as well as his sisters Margaret, Madonna, and Viola, and by many nieces and nephews.

Stan was predeceased by his parents Edward and Sade (Johnson), Aunt Winnie (Johnson), Sisters Therese and Kit, and brothers Dick and Don Corbett.

Stan loved to talk, he thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking to people.  He enjoyed watching sports, and spending time with his animals.

Cremation has taken place.  As per Stan’s wishes, there will be no services of any kind.
