WESTRA - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Sophie S. Westra of Woodstock in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of David D. Westra for 55 years. Dear mother of Tina (Don) Boogerman of Arva, Ann (Joe) Kish of Princeton, and Ken Westra of Woodstock. Sophie will be missed by her grandchildren Jason (Giulia) Boogerman, Amanda (Brett Fairweather) Boogerman, Michael and Josh Kish, Ashley and David Westra. Also survived by her brothers, Wessel (Jessie) Brouwer of Leamington, Don (Peggy) Brouwer of Michigan. Dear sister-in-law of Pauline Brouwer of Dunnville, Elsie (Walter Kirk) Westra, and Rika (Ed) Himmelman all of Woodstock, and brother-in-law John (Sylvie) Westra of Ottawa, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Femme and Tryntje (nee DeRoos) Brouwer, brothers Binnie and Dick Brouwer and several in-laws. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday, February 12 2010, from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Where the service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
