POTTER, Sidney Charles George in his 90th year on Saturday March 22, 2003 at the Woodstock General Hospital. Beloved husband and best friend of Marion (nee Wallace) Potter for over 55 years. Loved brother of Ronald of Simcoe and Margaret Masson of Woodstock. Brother-in-law of Clara (Wallace) Alger of Guelph and Betty Wallace-Rowen of Medina, Ohio. Also survived by a large number of nieces and nephews. Born in Wiltshire, England, he came to Canada with his family in 1913 and lived in the Woodstock area for the remainder of his life, farming at Muir for 68 years. Sydney was an active member and a past Warden of St. John's Anglican Church, Eastwood. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. The complete funeral service will be held at the St. John's Anglican Church, Eastwood, on Wednesday at 11:00am with Reverend Marian Haggerty officiating. Interment later in the St. John's Anglican Cemetery. Contributions to the St. John's Anglican Church Memorial Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
