Sidney Hammel Jouffret

JOUFFRET - At Woodstock General Hospital, peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Sidney Hammel Jouffret of Woodstock, in his 90th year; Loving husband of 65 years of Myrtle (nee Clifford); predeceased by daughter Laurene Silke (1990); survived and lovingly remembered by: son-in-law Carl Silke of London; daughter Luella Barath of London; daughter Mary Ellen and her husband Bill Weatherhead of Woodstock; will be sadly missed by grandchildren Carla Silke; Margo and her husband Colin Baldwin; Stephen, Kathleen and Laura Barath; and Jodi Weatherhead; as well as by great granddaughter Meredith Baldwin. Sid was employed for many years with Weldwood Canada and Kelsey-Hayes Canada Ltd.; a volunteer driver for CNIB and for over 15 years with the Canadian Cancer Society. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday December 13, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with Rev. Grant Brown of Burlington officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment later in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
