WATLING - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday September 4, 2009. Shirley Louise (nee Smith) Watling of Beachville in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" E. Watling (2002). Dear mother of Scott and his partner Cathy Renkema of Waterloo, Sue Mutch of Ingersoll and Ann Martin and her husband David of Stratford. Loved grandmother of Stephanie, Payge, Alana, Hailey, Dylan and Doug. Dear step daughter of Marcia Smith of Beachville, sister of Edwin Smith of Beachville and sister-in-law of Pat Watmough and her husband Bill of Ingersoll and Bill Adolf of London. Shirley is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters-in-law Jean Smith and Kay Adolf. Shirley was a longtime member of the Beachville United Church Women and the Red Hat Society. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday September 9, 2009 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Liz Lemon officiating. Cremation to follow with interment later in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
