Gallagher Samuel David Peacefully at University Hospital, on Saturday June 1, 2013. Samuel David Gallagher of London in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Agnes (Duffin) for fifty-one years. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and David. Dear brother of Emily Hoxar - McLachlin (Alex Hoxar, David McLachlin) of Dorchester and Ingersoll, Jean (Kenneth) Lindsay of Thorndale and Gord (Elaine) Gallagher of Dorchester. Brother-in-law of James (Sheila) Duffin of Thorndale and Helen (Ken) White of Denfield. Predeceased by a brother John (Ruth) of St. Thomas and a sister Margaret (Elmer) Weiss of St. Thomas. Cherished uncle to nieces and nephews of the Gallagher and Duffin families. Adopted uncle of the Powell girls. Sam worked in the Dairy Industry for many years. He was a Member and Elder of Dorchester Presbyterian Church where he served as Clerk of Session. Friends may call at the Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street, Thamesford on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Dorchester Presbyterian Church 1669 Richmond Street, Dorchester on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 11 AM with, Reverend Heather Paton officiating. Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 633 Colborne St. London, On.
